The Station has various recreational activities such as Movies, Art, Trivia and outings.
Daily, The Station provides Foxtel with various movies throughout the day.
Outings
Once a month, The Station Ltd has an outing. Outings are a great way for services users to participate in community and social activities without feeling discriminated against or like they are being judged. It is a wonderful opportunity for staff and consumers to interact on a different level, and for clients to make new friends, see new places and gain new skills.
Outings may include picnics, BBQ’s, going to the theatre or the beach,
participating in games and social activities. Some of the outings previously held by the Station include trips to Reef Beach, Bronte Beach, Picnics at Shelley Beach, Bushwalks in Kuringai National Park, Theatre showings by Sydney Theatre Company, trips to Luna Park and much more.
Trivia
From time to time The Station Ltd has a game of trivia. Trivia includes questions on sport, history, current events, arts and sexual health and harm minimisation. Trivia is a great way for service users to become educated about sexual health and harm minimisation without having to approach staff. The trivia is also an opportunity for staff and clients to interact on an educational and recreational level.
Art Space
On Tuesday mornings form 10:00 am until 12:00 midday, The Station has an Art Space where services users can paint, draw and create pieces for up and coming exhibitions, to take home, or to display in the centre. The Art Space is a good way for clients to get involved in group activities, to express themselves in a positive and healthy manner and to get to know staff and other clients.
